CCOH annonserar årets Summer Institute

Varje år ordnar Columbia Center for Oral History, Columbia University, New York, ett sommarinstitut om oral history. Eftersom dessa sommarinstitut har både föreläsningar och mycket att läsa in påminner de om sommarskolor som på många håll ordnas för doktorander. Samtidigt går de utöver gränserna för dessa, och bland deltagarna finns etablerade forskare, doktorander och studenter – men även aktivister, journalister och andra som arbetar med oral history.

Årets Summer Institute har rubriken “Telling the World: Indigenous Memories, Rights, and Narratives”.

Bland organisatörerna, som också kommer att föreläsa, märks bland andra:

• Mary Marshall Clark, Director of the Columbia Center for Oral History and co-director of the Oral History Master of Arts Program at the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy of Columbia University;
• Peter Bearman, Director of the Interdisciplinary Center for Innovative Theory and Empirics and co-director of the Oral History Master of Arts Program at the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy of Columbia University;
• Alessandro Portelli, Professor of Anglo-American Literature at the University of Rome-La Sapienza.
